The Prosecutor General's Office intends to ask the Obolonskyi District Court of Kyiv to sentence former president Viktor Yanukovych to life imprisonment.
Prosecutor Ruslan Kravchenko has told this at a briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The prosecutor noted that Yanukovych is accused of high treason that entailed military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Kravchenko also noted that the Yanukovych case has been investigated by 44 military prosecutors.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Thursday, the court launched preparatory hearing of the Yanukovych case.
