The Committee of Permanent Representatives in the European Union has approved inclusion of Ukraine in the list of third countries that do not require travel visas. President Petro Poroshenko said this during the official service at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant on the occasion of the 31st anniversary since the tragedy at the plant, Ukrainian News Agency reports. The next step for Ukraine to obtain a visa-free travel with the EU will be the bill voting by the EU Council scheduled for May 11. The final stage includes signing of the decision (May 17) and publishing it in the EU's Official Journal (May 22). The visa-free travel will take effect 20 days following the publication, approximately on June 11. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 6, the European Parliament approved the visa-free travel for Ukraine.
