The Ukrzaliznytsia public joint-stock company states that it does not conduct activity on the territories not controlled by the government of Ukraine in Donetsk, Luhansk regions. The company has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports. According to the statement, the railway communication with the uncontrolled territories is suspended. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 24, Ukrzaliznytsia appointed new directors to six regional branches. In January-March, Ukrzaliznytsia increased its passenger traffic by 3.7% to 46.6 million of passengers, and increased cargoes turnover by 5.9% to 82.7 million tons year over year. In January-March, Ukrzaliznytsia posted the net profit of UAH 12.9 million, having increased its net revenues by UAH 1.8 billion or up 10% to UAH 18.9 billion year over year. In accordance with the international reporting standards, in 2016, Ukrzaliznytsia reported a loss of UAH 7.3 billion. Ukrzaliznytsia affiliates Donetsk, Lviv, Odesa, Yuzhnyi, Southwestern, and Dnipro railways, as well as other enterprises and organizations that are part of a single production and technological complex that provides freight and passengers transportation services.
