The headquarters of the antiterrorist operation says Russian occupational troops are planning to stage a firefight allegedly with Ukraine's secret subversive group in the area where the patrol vehicle of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) drove on a mine on April 23.
The press center of the ATO headquarters announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The Russian-occupational troops are planning to make a staged video of escape of 'Ukrainian secret subversive group' outside the population center of Sokolniki - the intelligence of the ATO headquarters," reads the statement.
The said staged video will be linked with the incident involving the OSCE SMM patrol video of April 23 to blame Ukraine for the death of a monitor of the OSCE SMM.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, one of the OSCE SMM's armored vehicles, that were conducting a patrol near non-government controlled Pyshyb in Luhansk region on April 23, experienced an explosion, likely a mine, resulting in the death of a paramedic from the United States working with the OSCE SMM. Two more patrol members got wounds.
