The United Nations International Court of Justice will determine the date of commencement of consideration of Ukraine's lawsuit against Russia in essence in May.

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Olena Zerkal announced this to journalists, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"We are now going to the next stage. The next stage involves consideration of the case in essence. The parties will gather here in May so that the court can determine the exact schedule ... for consideration of the case in essence. There will be a meeting in May, when the calendar for consideration of the case in essence will be determined," said Zerkal.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the International Court of Justice has determined that it has jurisdiction over Ukraine's case against Russia.

The United Nations International Court of Justice has ruled that Ukraine provided insufficient evidence that Russia is financing terrorism.

At the same time, the court ordered Russia to allow the activities of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis and ensure availability of education in the Ukrainian language in the Russia-annexed Crimea.
