Poroshenko Calling On British Parliament To Allow Visas Liberalization For Ukraine

President Petro Poroshenko calls on the Parliament of Great Britain to abolish visas for citizens of Ukraine.

Press service of President has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"During his official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, President Petro Poroshenko has met with Leader of the ruling Conservative Party David Lidington, Chairman of the Friends of Ukraine group Gerald Howarth and Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee Crispin Blunt... President of Ukraine has called to liberalize visas regime for Ukrainians," the statement reads.

During the meeting, Poroshenko positively assessed the visit by the delegation from the House of Commons (lower chamber) of the Great Britain's Parliament to Donbas and the recommendations to continue sanctions against the Russian Federation made in the report that followed up the visit.

In addition, the participants of the meeting discussed questions related to cooperation between Great Britain and Ukraine in the part of furtherance of the agreement with the North Atlantic Alliance and implementation of structural reforms in Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Wednesday, Poroshenko will meet with Prime Minister Theresa May during his official trip to Great Britain.
