The Nastup political party has changed its name to the Nadiya Savchenko's Public Platform and elected Member of Parliament Nadiya Savchenko (non-affiliated) to be its chair.

Savchenko has told this to journalists, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Yesterday media reported that I created a party named after myself. This party was created by Lviv citizens... and it is named Nastup. At the party's meeting we changed its name and I was elected its chairperson," she said.

In addition, the meeting also elected the party's administrative staff - all them are Savchenko's close associates.

She stressed that the party will stand out from other political organizations mainly for its conceptual idea of ushering the change to the political system of the country.

The MP thanked the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Association and the Rukh Novykh Syl political party for the experience.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 22, 2016, the Verkhovna Rada expelled Savchenko from the Rada's standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Previously, Batkivschyna excluded her from its parliamentary faction and the MP quite the party.
