The Kyiv State City Administration considers mounting 11,000 cameras for video surveillance to ensure safety of guests during the Eurovision-2017 international song contest that will be held in Kyiv in May.
Director for the Department on Information-Communication Technologies of the Kyiv Administration Yurii Narazov has said this at a meeting, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to him, 250 surveillance cameras and 50 speed dome cameras will be mounted at the locations of the contest.
Other 115 cameras will be mounted in the territory of the International Exhibition Center to detect substandard behavior and immediately send signals to law enforcers.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the total of 10,000 policemen, officers from the National Guards and employees from the State Border Service and State Emergency Service will be called on duty to protect public order during the Eurovision-2017 international song contest.
In the period of May 3 - 13 Kyiv will hold the Eurovision-2017 international song contest with 43 countries registered to participate in the contest.
