Hontareva Discusses Her Successor's Candidacy With Poroshenko

The National Bank of Ukraine's head Valeriya Hontareva has discussed the candidacy of her successor with President Petro Poroshenko.

Hontareva announced this at a press conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Earlier, the head of the National Bank of Ukraine said she was hoping that a technocrat would be appointed as the next head of the bank.

Hontareva has decided to resign on May 10.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Parliament appointed Hontareva as the head of the National Bank of Ukraine in June 2014.
