The Kyiv city council has appealed against a ruling of the Kyiv Economic Court obliging the city hall to terminate its resolution banning the sale of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and beer in permanent retail facilities (stores and retail chains) from 11 p.m. to 10 a.m.

The press service of the Kyiv city state administration announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The ruling of the Kyiv Economic Court of April 10 reads that the resolution of the Kyiv city council violates the law on protection of economic competition.

The Kyiv Economic Court has obliged the Kyiv city council to cancel its decision banning the sale of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and beer in permanent retail facilities (stores and retail chains) from 11 p.m. to 10 a.m.
