Cabinet Reallocates UAH 747 Million To Finance Reforming Of Regional Healthcare Systems

The Cabinet of Ministers has reallocated UAH 747,005,500 to be transferred to local budgets for reforming of regional healthcare systems.

This is said in the respective Executive Order No. 246 dated March 29, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In particular, an increase was made for the expenses of the Healthcare Ministry under the program entitled Subvention from State Budget to Local Budgets for Reforming of Regional Healthcare Systems to Implement Measures under the Joint Project with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development entitled Improvement of Healthcare of the Population in the Office.

According to the document, UAH 52,896,100 will be channeled into the regional budget of Vinnytsia region, UAH 11,653,600 to Volyn region, UAH 222,026,300 to Dnipropetrovsk region, UAH 78,360,700 to Zakarpattia region, UAH 29,230,900 to Zaporizhia region, UAH 189,453,700 to Poltava region and UAH 163,384,200 to the Rivne regional budget.

The reallocation has been done at the expense of introducing cuts to certain programs financed from the state budget.

In particular, financing to the program Construction of Kaniv Hydroelectric Pumped Storage Power Plant of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine was cut by UAH 718,118,100, expenses under the program Special Support to Communities of the Ministry of Social Policy were cut by UAH 11,424,000 and the program Investments to Support Social Development of Territorial Communities was cut by UAH 17,463,400.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the state budget for 2017 envisaged allocation of UAH 72.848 billion to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
