First Deputy Foreign Minister Prystaiko Not Ruling Out Meeting Of Poroshenko And Trump In Near Future

Vadym Prystaiko, the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, does not rule out that a meeting of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and U.S. President Donald Trump will take place in the near future.

He told this in an interview for Ukrainian News Agency.

He says it is not important if the meeting of President Poroshenko and President Trump will be before or after the meeting of President Trump with President Putin of Russia.

First Deputy Foreign Minister Prystaiko says meetings with United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and President's advisor Herbert McMaster were important.

"We are interested in a meeting with the Secretary of Defense and the meeting is scheduled and in a meeting with the President of the United States, of course," he said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 11, 2017, U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson assured President Petro Poroshenko on the eve of his visit to Moscow (Russia) that he will not allow an agreement on resolution of the situation in Syria at the cost of neglecting resolution of the situation in Ukraine.
