Groysman Not Interested In Running For President In 2019

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has no intention to run for President in 2019.

He has said this at the annual press conference on work results of the government, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"In 2019, I will participate in the presidential election the same way as any other citizen of this country will," Groysman said.

The Prime Minister said he had no other plans except to work in the Cabinet of Ministers.

Groysman had previously denied any presidential ambitions.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as at December 2016, according to the study conducted by the Social monitoring center, 11% of the respondents said that at Presidential elections they would cast their vote in favor of active President Petro Poroshenko, 11% would vote for Leader of the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Association parliamentary faction Yuliya Tymoshenko, and 7% in favor of Chairman of the Opposition bloc parliamentary faction Yurii Boiko.

In the study conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, 9.3% of the respondents were ready to vote for Tymoshenko, 6.4% for Poroshenko and 6.1% for Boiko.

Results of the survey conducted by the Rating sociological group showed that 17.7% of the surveyed would vote for Tymoshenko, 13.5% for Poroshenko and 10.4% for Boiko at the Presidential elections.

While in the research run by the Democratic Initiative Foundation and the Centre for Economic and Political Studies named after Oleksandr Razumkov, 9.3% said they would vote for Poroshenko, 8.1% for Tymoshenko and 6.3% for Boiko.
