Groysman Promises To Raise Pensions For 9 Of 12 Million Pensioners From October 1

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has promised to raise pensions for 9 of 12 million pensioners from October 1, 2017 if expected pension reform is implemented by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The Prime Minister said this at the press-conference on Tuesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In particular, Groysman noted that the Cabinet of Ministers' pension reform envisions revision of pensions for 5,620,000 citizens.

A total of 1,308,000 citizens will receive an increase of up to UAH 200 a month, 1,209,000 citizens will have pensions UAH 200-500 higher, 1,993,000 citizens UAH 500-1,000, and 1,109,000 citizens' pensions will grow by over 1,000 a month.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Groysman promises to raise pensions from October if the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supports Cabinet's pension reform.
