Chair of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Hontareva states that the audit conducted in PrivatBank exposed greater necessity for additional capitalization.
She said this at the Monday press-conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"PrivatBank provided affiliated persons not with 97% but with all 100% of the corporate portfolio. Thus the state will have to hold additional capitalization of the bank," she said.
She said that only during the last night before the nationalization of PrivatBank, frauds worth UAH 16 billion took place in the bank.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 21, 2016, PrivatBank officially was transferred to state ownership.
