The Ukrainian Agribusiness Club association (UCAB) has said it expects prices for meat an eggs to increase due to the upcoming Easter holiday, while prices for milk to decrease due to the natural season-related boost in milk production. The UCAB has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports. "With the completion of fast in the second-third quarters of April, we expect prices for the majority of animal products to grow. In particular, we expect meat prices to grow by 7-12%. But this hike in prices will be short-lived and by the end of April the prices will stabilize," experts of the association forecast. In addition, growth of prices is also expected for vegetables within 3-4%. Prices for groceries (sunflower oil, sugar, buckwheat, flour) might grow by 2-3% due to the deprivation of stocks and raised demand. "Starting a new season, prices for milk will see pressure from increased milk production, possibly leading to insignificant reduction by 3-6%," the association says. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, as of March 30, the average-weighted price for pork was UAH 76.02 per kilo, for eggs UAH 12.65 for 10 eggs and for milk UAH 16.55 per liter.
