Deputy Secretary General of NATO Rose Gottemoeller says that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is studying experience of Ukraine in countering hybrid threats.
She has said this at the Kyiv Security Forum, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"I am quite impressed with this capacity that is growing in Ukraine among young military to stand up to these kinds of threats in Eastern Ukraine. NATO taps into their experience to learn skills how to respond to the elements of hybrid war. Currently it is the number one issue in Brussels when we speak about threats emanating from the Russian Federation. Every day we learn from Ukraine how to counteract elements of a hybrid war," Ms. Gottemoeller said.
She also said that NATO was developing a special platform to fight the phenomena of a hybrid war that would enhance capacity to counteract hybrid attacks.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, NATO decided to provide EUR 1 million in aid to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for the development of mine-clearance service.
