The Moldovan prosecutor's office will not ask a court to extend the arrest of Judge Mykola Chaus of the Dniprovskyi District Court of Kyiv for illegally crossing the Belarusian border after his arrest expires.
The head of the Moldovan Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Viorel Morar, announced this to Ukrainian News Agency.
According to him, Chaus will be detained at the request of Ukraine after the period of his arrest ends, and he will be placed under extradition arrest.
According to him, the arrest of Chaus for illegally crossing the border will end on April 9.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a court in Moldova recently extended the arrest of Chaus for 15 days until April 8, inclusive.
