Health Ministry Initiating Suspension Of Supply Of Russian-Made Medicines To Ukraine

The Ministry of Health is initiating suspension of deliveries of Russian-made medicines to Ukraine.

Acting Health Minister Uliana Suprun announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to a request to the Cabinet of Ministers, which Suprun published, the Ministry of Health is asking the government to consider suspending the supply of Russian-made medicines and medicines produced on non-government-controlled territories to Ukraine and their sale within the country by suspending the registration of such medicines, stopping their state registration and re-registration, and suspending the medicine-production licenses of enterprises located on non-government-controlled territories.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a program for reimbursement of the cost of medicines for treatment of cardiovascular diseases, type-II diabetes mellitus (insulin-dependent diabetes), and bronchial asthma entered into force on April 1.
