Poroshenko, Merkel, Hollande Discuss Situation In Donbas, Note Importance Of Progress In Minsk Agreements Implementation

President Petro Poroshenko, Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and President of France Francois Hollande have discussed situation in Donbas and confirmed the importance of further progress in implementation of the agreements reached in Minsk (the Republic of Belarus).

The press-service of the President of Ukraine has said this in a statement with the reference to a phone conversation between the three top officials, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Poroshenko noted the importance of release of all hostages held in the occupied territories of Donbas and Russia.

He also thanked Merkel and Hollande for their support to the European Union's decision to provide Ukrainian citizens with visa-free travels.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, during his talk with Chancellor Merkel and President Hollande, Petro Poroshenko condemned unwillingness of militants to adhere to the ceasefire regime from April 1.
