The National Security and Defense Council's Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov has declared an income of UAH 2,204,282 for 2016.
This is stated in data in the Unified State Register of Declarations of Persons Authorized to Perform the Functions of State or Local Self-Government, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Turchynov's declared income includes a salary of UAH 512,807, UAH 22,800 from sale of securities and corporate rights, and UAH 1,668,675 from interest.
Turchynov declared almost UAH 50,000, almost EUR 10,000, and more than USD 810,000 in accounts with Oschadbank (USD 758,000 in the previous reporting year).
The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council also declared cash holdings of USD 320,000 (UAH 250,000 in the previous year), EUR 55,000, and USD 735,000.
His wife declared an income of UAH 447,465 for 2016 (UAH 97,465 from salaries and UAH 350,000 from sale of securities and corporate rights), about EUR 9,000 in accounts with Oschadbank (EUR 1,700 in the previous year).
The remaining information in Turchynov's declaration for 2016 does not differ from the information in his declaration for 2015.
Regarding valuables worth more than 100 subsistence minimums, Turchynov declared 27 ancient books, the date of publication and the cost of which are not specified.
Turchynov also declared 12 paintings, a set of wristwatches, and two candlesticks with values exceeding 100 subsistence minimums.
In addition, he declared copyright to the feature film "The Illusion of Fear," four literary works, seven monographs (on shadow economy and taxation), and six author's certificates.
Turchynov is also a member of the National Union of Writers.
He did not disclose real estate or vehicles. His wife declared an apartment with 382 square meters of space in Kyiv (worth UAH 2.6 million on the date of acquisition) and two parking spaces with 18 and 20 square meters of space (worth UAH 50,000 on the date of acquisition), and a Toyota Highlander vehicle (price not indicated).
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Turchynov declared a collection of ancient Bibles, 12 paintings, and cash holdings of EUR 55,000, USD 735,000, and UAH 250,000 for 2015.
