German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and French Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault have proposed Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin to meet in Minsk, Belarus, next week (November 28 - December 4).

This is said in a statement by the German Foreign Ministry on its page in Twitter, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Steinmeier in the parliament: Ayrault and me proposed our colleagues from Ukraine and Russia to meet in Minsk next week," it reads.

The heads of "Normandy Quartet" recently instructed their ministers of foreign affairs to draft a plan of measures for implementation of the Minsk agreements (roadmap) by the end of November.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have agreed to hold a meeting of foreign ministers in the "Normandy Format" (Ukraine, France, Russia, and Germany) at the end of November.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has said that the positions of Ukraine, Germany, and France differ considerably from the position of Russia regarding the vision for the "roadmap" for implementation of the Minsk agreements.
