The chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Vasyl Hrytsak, has said that more than 1,500 SBU officers switched to the Russian side during the annexation of the Crimea.

Hrytsak was speaking at a press briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"We have more than 1,500 such employees in the Crimea," he said.

Hrytsak stressed that the Security Service of Ukraine was monitoring the movement of the traitors around the world and doing everything possible to bring them to justice.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Central District Court of Mykolaiv has sanctioned two-month arrests of two former members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who were earlier detained by the SBU on the border with the Crimea.
