Transparency International non-government organization has placed Ukraine 5th among the European and Central Asian countries on the Global Corruption Barometer. Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a statement made by Transparency International Ukraine. According to the research, 56% of Ukrainians believe that corruption is the key problem in the state. Respondents said that over 60% of public officers, MPs, tax officers and judges are immediately related to corruption. The Global Corruption Barometer interviews 1,507 people in Ukraine. Statistical error is 2.6 p.p. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine stands for widening the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NACB) and the National Corruption Prevention Agency (NCPA) to improve the efficiency of the fight against corruption. The NACB and the European Anti-Fraud Office have reached agreement on cooperation in the fight against corruption and fraud. The European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) thinks the political corruption in Ukraine subsided after EuroMaidan.
