NSDC Refutes Media Reports Alleging Headquarters Set Up To Respond To Rallies And Protests

The National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) refutes media reports alleging that it has set up a headquarters to respond to rallies and protest actions.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from an NSDC's statement.

«Pro-Russian media, according to the tasks assigned to them by their curators, are trying to escalate the situation in Ukraine with the aim to destabilize it. In particular, the "Correspondent" website, owned by a criminal oligarch Kurchenko, who fled to Moscow, has spread information concerning the creation of some mythical command staff in the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and listed the set of conventional measures carried out by Kurchenko's accomplices and masters three years ago,» it reads.

The NSDC did not create any «HQs,» it emphasises, and all security agencies in Ukraine are working as normal consistent with the power vested by constitution and laws.

Before, the media were referring to korrespondent.net to report that Ukrainian security agencies are bracing for possible protest actions in the country and the NSDC has set up a HQ to respond to a spate of rallies.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has confirmed the reports of Russia's intention to commence actions to destabilise the situation in Ukraine on November 15.
