Ukraine Stands By Moldova In Its Intention To Achieve Pullout Of RF Troops From Transnistria

Ukraine stands by Moldova in its intention to achieve the pullout of Russian Federation troops from the unrecognised Transnistrian Moldavian Republic.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a statement made by the Ministry of Defence.

Defence Minister Stepan Poltorak had a working meeting with his Moldovan counterpart Anatoly Salaru.

They discussed cooperation between the Ukrainian and Moldovan Ministries of Defence and perspectives of deepening it.

November 6, Moldovan media cited Salaru as saying that Ukraine is ready to provide a corridor for the withdrawal of RF military and weapons from Transnistria, specifically from Cobasna.

According to the Moldovan Defence Ministry, a comprehensive plan of such operation will have been developed before the yearend.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, State Border Guard Service officers in October denied entry in Ukraine by an RF serviceman serving in the unrecognised Transnistrian Moldavian Republic through a checkpoint in Odesa Region on the border with Moldova.
