Parliament Extends Moratorium On Inspection Of Businesses Until 31 December 2017

The parliament has extended the moratorium inspection of businesses until 31 December 2017.

The relevant draft law (No. 3153) was approved by 235 votes; only 226 votes were required for its approval, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the draft law, the moratorium does not apply to the National Commission on State Regulation of the Energy Industry and Utilities, the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market, the State Fiscal Service and its territorial bodies, the State Financial Inspectorate and its territorial bodies, the State Export Control Service, the State Nuclear Regulation Inspectorate, State Aviation Service, the National Bank of Ukraine, the Antimonopoly Committee, the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service, the State Environmental Inspectorate, and the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the State Regulatory Service recently said that 10 regulatory authorities violated the moratorium on inspection of businesses in the period of January-June 2015.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the moratorium the moratorium on inspection of businesses until 2017.
