The defense team for the Ukrinform national information agency's journalist Roman Suschenko positively assesses the beginning of the process in the case against him.Lawyer Mark Feygin announced this at a press conference, Ukrainian News reports."I am cautiously optimistic about this case... The case has started well in the sense that it has attracted a lot of attention," he said.At the same time, Feygin believes that a Russian television channel plans to broadcast a program that will supposedly confirm that Suschenko engaged in espionage in the near future."It will broadcast some kind of movie or video narrating what a terrible spy Suschenko is and claiming that everyone at Ukrinform is a spy,» he said.In addition, Feygin said he would not recommend that Ukrainian political reporters visit Russia at the current time.According to the lawyer, Suschenko's living conditions are satisfactory. In particular, he said that the journalist is being held in a two-person cell that has a refrigerator, a television, and radio.Feygin also said that the journalist is healthy and currently has no health problems. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Suschenko's defense team is considering the possibility of exchanging him for Russian citizens detained in Ukraine.
