President of the European Council Donald Tusk and President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz welcome the completion of the first stage of e-declaring.
Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a statement made by the presidential press service.
In the framework of intensive consultations on ratification of the Association Agreement with the European Union, President Petro Poroshenko had phone calls with Tusk and Schulz.
Tusk and Schulz congratulated the Ukrainian President on the successful completion of the first stage of e-declaring within the newly-created corruption prevention system.
The parties coordinated further steps and agreed to continue the active work to ensure ratification of the AA.
Moreover, they agreed to bolster the efforts to abolish EU visas for the citizens of Ukraine.
Poroshenko congratulated the EU on signing the EU - Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
The parties also shared opinions on the results of the first stage of the presidential ballot in Moldova.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and Tusk have confirmed that Ukraine has met all criteria for the EU to abolish visas for Ukrainian citizens.
