Raimonds Graube, commander of Latvia’s National Armed Forces, says the experience of the Ukrainian army is valuable to North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

The press service of Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze announced this in a statement following their meeting in Latvia, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze thanked for support and rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers wounded in the antiterrorist operation, and Raimonds Graube noted that the experience of our servicemen in resisting to Russia is very much valuable to North Atlantic Treaty Organization," reads the statement.

Raimonds Graube said Ukrainian soldiers were fighting not only for the freedom of Ukraine, but for Latvia also.

During her trip to Latvia Vice Prime Minister Klympush-Tsyntsadze visited the National Defense Academy of Latvia where Ukrainian militaries take 4-month course of English.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the General Staff of the Ukrainian armed forces has formed four battalions under standards of North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
