Russian Court Upholds Arrest Of Ukrainian Journalist Suschenko

The Moscow city court has upheld the arrest of Ukrainian journalist Roman Suschenko of the National Information Agency Ukrinform.

His lawyer Mark Feygin announced this on Twitter, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The complain against the arrest has been rejected. Suschenko remains under arrest," he wrote.

The Moscow city court considered the petition for appeal against the arrest of Roman Suschenko on October 27.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed protest in connection with the announcement of the official charges by the Federal Security Service of Russia to the journalist, correspondent of the National Information Agency Ukrinform in France Roman Sushchenko.

A court in Russia placed Roman Suschenko under arrest for two months.
