Minister of Social Policy Andrii Reva has denied that the minimum pay will be raised up to UAH 3,200 at the cost of hryvnia emission.

He announced this at a press conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The minister also emphasises that no funds will be borrowed to raise the minimum pay.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Vice Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko has denied that the amount of subsidies in the 2016/17 heating season would be cut should the minimum wage be raised to UAH 3,200.

He says the balance of the 2017 national budget would be maintained if the minimum wage raised to UAH 3,200.

The Cabinet of Ministers is about to propose that the Verkhovna Rada raise the minimum wage to UAH 3,200 in 2017.
