No IMF Mission In Ukraine On Wednesday Despite Finance Ministry's Expectations

The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), expected by the Ministry of Finance, has not arrived in Ukraine on Wednesday, October 26.


Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a source in the IMF.

"The mission has not arrived. We have not officially announced its arrival today," he said.

October 10, the Ministry said it expected the IMF mission to arrive on 26 October.

Before, Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk said that he was expecting the IMF mission in late October, but he did not specify a particular date.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, last time an IMF mission visited Ukraine from 10 to 18 May 2016.

The IMF scheduled the next (third) review of its program of cooperation with Ukraine for 15 November 2016.

The fourth review of the program is scheduled for 15 February 2017 (the amount of the tranche is USD 1.986 billion), the fifth review for 15 May 2017 (USD 1.33 billion), the sixth for 15 August 2017 (USD 1.33 billion), and the seventh for 15 November 2017 (USD 735.8 million).
