Putin Arrives In Germany To Attend 'Normandy Format' Meeting

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Berlin (Germany) to participate in a meeting in the "Normandy format" (Ukraine, Germany, France, and Russia).

The press service of the President of Russia announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The Russian head of state has arrived in Berlin for talks in the 'Normandy format' aimed at resolving the situation in Ukraine," the statement said.

According to the statement, Putin is also scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande to discuss Syria during the visit.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Poroshenko, Merkel, and Hollande held trilateral talks on Wednesday evening ahead of the "Normandy format" meeting.
