The parliament’s budget committee has recommended that the parliament adopt the first reading of the draft state budget for 2017. The committee made the corresponding decision at a meeting, Ukrainian News reports. The parliament intends to consider the first reading of the draft state budget for 2017 at a plenary session on October 20. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers expects the parliament to adoption the law "On the State Budget for 2017" by December 1. The revenue of the state budget is projected at UAH 876.9 billion, which is 17% more than the 2016 state budget revenue (UAH 749 billion). The government plans to increase the minimum wage by 10.1% to UAH 1,762. The draft budget is based on a forecast GDP growth rate of 3%, a forecast inflation rate of 8.1%, and a forecast hryvnia exchange rate of 27.2 UAH\/USD in 2017. Nominal GDP is forecast at UAH 2,574.9 billion in 2017. The unemployment rate is projected at 8.6% and the budget deficit at 3% of GDP in 2017.
