The State Space Agency expects the Orbital ATK company (United States) launched another Antares rocket the first stage of which was developed and produced by Ukrainian enterprises, to deliver supplies to the International Space Station (ISS) on December 30.
The State Space Agency announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Preparation for a new launch of the Antares rocket, which is tentatively scheduled for December 30 this year, is already underway at the Wallops flight facility. The first stage of the launch vehicle, which was made in Ukraine, has already been delivered to the installation building of the flight facility," the statement said.
Five launches of these carrier rockets are expected to be completed by the end of 2018 and six more in the period from 2019 to 2024.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the core of the first stage of the Antares rocket was designed by the Yuzhnoye design bureau and manufactured by Yuzhmash in conjunction with the Ukrainian enterprises Hartron-Arkos (Kharkiv), Kyivprylad (Kyiv), Hartron-Ucom (Zaporizhia), CheZaRa and Rapid (Chernihiv) and others.
Orbital ATK launched an Antares rocket with a first stage produced by Yuzhnoye in the early hours of October 18 (Kyiv time) to deliver supplies to the ISS.
