Chairman of the Board of Directors of Group DF Dmytro Firtash intends to return to Ukraine if he wins the case on his extradition to the United States at an appeal court in Austria.Dmytro Firtash announced this in an interview with the RBK-Ukraine outlet, Ukrainian News Agency reports."If I win the case, I will certainly go home," said Firtash. He said he was not afraid of possible threats from the side of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine."Let them fear me. I have been living with such threats that I will be imprisoned since 1991 or even since 1989. I have seen all kinds of them: bandits, policemen, and the authorities... I have got accustomed to them, I have immunity against them, and cool-headedness," he said.Firtash said the date for considering the case at the appeal instance has not been appointed. He expects it to begin in November. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in December 2015 Dmytro Firtash intended to take part in a congress of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine in Kyiv. However, he later postponed his return to Ukraine and explained the decision by political persecution from the side of Ukrainian authorities. In April 2015, the court of the Austrian federal land Vienna for criminal cases refused to extradite Firtash to the United States. Austria's prosecutors appealed against the ruling of the court.
