Ukraine is worried that the Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is monitoring and verifying the process of disengagement of the units of the Armed Forces and armed formations of separate districts of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions from the boundary line in the agreed sectors not around the clock.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a source close to the 'Minsk process'.

"The Ukrainian side notified the OSCE that they are not meeting clause 11 of the Framework Decision," he said.

SMM observers are not monitoring the disengagement sectors in the evening and at night while Zolote and Petrovske are shelled namely after dark, he said, and this is confirmed by the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC), which is on duty day and night.

Moreover, the SMM is not recording all facts of ceasefire violations in the disengagement sectors.

The source drew attention to the fact that 30 SMM patrols are working in the terrorist-held territory of Donbas and 90 in government-controlled territory.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Defence Minister Stepan Poltorak wants that the OSCE SMM step up the control of the process of disengagement of forces in Donbas.

The SMM recalls that it has no powers to coordinate the disengagement of forces and hardware from the boundary line in Donbas.
