A Ukrainian Consul visited the Ukrinform national information agency's journalist Roman Suschenko, who is detained by Russia, on Monday.
Mykhailo Chaplyha, a representative of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska, announced this on the 112 Ukraine television channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"We have received a report that our consul was granted access at 14:00 and that the total duration of the meeting was 3 hours, which probably includes the entry and exit procedures," he said.
Chaplyha added that Suschenko personally spoke with the consul.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ukrainian consul was scheduled to visit Suschenko on October 12.
