The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Russia's Consul to Ukraine over the hampering of Ukrainian consuls' access to Roman Suschenko, a Ukrainian journalist with the national news agency Ukrinform detained in the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian News Agency learned this from the Ministry Spokesperson Maryana Betsa.
The Ministry is indignant at the absence of Russia's reaction to Ukraine's demands in respect of Suschenko.
The Ministry stays in touch with his lawyer Mark Feygin, she added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska has asked Russia's Commissioner for Human Rights Tatyana Moskalkova to take control of the Suschenko case.
The Foreign Ministry demands Russia to immediately release Suschenko and freely return him to Ukraine.
