Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Andriy Parubiy advocates introduction of visa regime with the Russian Federation and wider sanctions against Ukraine's northern neighbor.
Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Parubiy gave the position during a meeting of the conciliatory council of the Parliament of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Andriy Parubiy recalled that he registered in the Parliament a draft resolution early in 2016 regarding a request to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on cessation of the intergovernmental agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation about visa-free travels for citizens.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin calls for introduction of the visa regime with Russia.
