President Petro Poroshenko will visit Israel for attending funeral of former president of Israel Shimon Peres on September 30
Ukrainian News Agency has learned this from a statement of the presidential press-service.
Mass media report that his casket will be placed at the Knesset (parliament) on September 29 for the public to pay their final respects.
Peres' funeral is planned for September 30 at Mount Herzl, Israel's national cemetery in Jerusalem.
Peres was the President of Israel from 2007 to 2014.
He died at the age of 93.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin has cut short his official visit to Ukraine, during which he had to attend the mourning on occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy on September 29, over the death of former Israeli President Shimon Peres.
