National Police Orders 12 Expert Examinations In Inter TV Channel Office Arson Case

The National Police has ordered 12 expert examinations in the criminal proceeding involving the arson of the office of Inter TV channel.

Chief of the National Police Khatia Dekanoidze announced this for journalists, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Law-enforcers had certain difficulties when recovering material evidence after the arson.

Upon receipt of results of the examinations, the National Police will announce details of the investigation.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a group of at least 50 persons on September 5 and 6 was hampering entry and exit from the channel and impeding journalists, employees of Inter and other Inter Media Group companies access to their working places.

September 4, 15 unknown persons in balaclavas tried to seize and set on fire the office of Inter TV channel in Kyiv.

Internal Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov called for depriving Inter TV channel of licence because he disliked its work.
