Chief of the National Police Khatia Dekanoidze believes that the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet was intended to destabilise the situation in the country.
She announced this for journalists, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"This crime is of a very big scale... Lots our enemies are interested in loosening the situation in our country. I mean I do not rule out this," Dekanoidze stressed.
In her words, the police are continuing the work to investigate the crime.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Sheremet died in a bombing of the car he was driving in central Kyiv on July 20.
