Poroshenko, Obama Discuss Time Frame For Political Components Of ‘Minsk Accords'

President Petro Poroshenko and President of the United States Barack Obama have discussed the time frame for the political components of the agreements reached in Minsk, Belarus on February 12, 2015.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a statement made by the presidential press service, referring to the outcome of Poroshenko's meeting with Obama in USA.

«We had a long conversation with President of the United States Barack Obama. We had an opportunity to discuss further steps on the implementation of the Minsk agreements, resolute efforts on coordination of our actions aimed to create a "road map" of the implementation of these agreements, priorities of the Minsk agreements' security component, as well as location and date of the implementation of the political part of the Minsk process,» Poroshenko informed journalists in New York.

The parties have also discussed the USA's support for reforms in Ukraine.

Poroshenko also recalled that Ukraine will receive USD 1 billion loan guarantees from the USA.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin points to the Ukrainian government's inability to fulfill the political clauses of the ‘Minsk accords'.
