Ukraine Ranked 135th Among 159 Countries On World Ranking Of Economic Freedom

Ukraine is ranked the 135th among 159 countries on the world ranking of the economic freedom.

This is stated in "The Economic Freedom of the World: 2016 Annual Report" drawn by the Fraser Institute jointly with the Ukrainian Society of Economic Freedoms, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The annual report reads that Hong Kong and Singapore, once again, occupy the top two positions. The other nations in the top 10 are New Zealand, Switzerland, Canada, Georgia, Ireland, Mauritius, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia and the United Kingdom, tied for 10th.

Latvia is ranked the 15th, Estonia is ranked the 19th, Poland is ranked the 40th, Russia is ranked the 102nd.

In comparison with "The Economic Freedom of the World: 2015 Annual Report" the index of the size of the state in the economy in Ukraine worsened from 6.5 to 6.8, the index of legal structure and security of property rights improved from 4.9 to 4.8, the index of access to sound money worsened from 6.5 to 5.9, freedom to trade internationally worsened from 6 to 6.8.
