The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland has rejected and refuted russian president vladimir putin’s false and completely unfounded allegations regarding an interest in the partition of Ukraine. This is stated in an official statement by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Putin’s statements were called disinformation in Poland and yet another attempt by the aggressor to create tension among allies. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Poland recognizes, respects, and continues to support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, including the 2003 bilateral State Border Treaty between Ukraine and the russian federation.
“Moscow’s allegations regarding alleged plans to annex Ukraine’s western territories—by Poland, among others—are a crude attempt at disinformation and a constant element of information warfare. The goal of these actions is obvious: to divide European countries and divert international attention from the brutal, illegal military aggression being carried out by the Russian Federation,” the statement reads.
The Polish Foreign Ministry called on russia to cease its territorial claims against its neighbors.
As a reminder, on July 27, russian dictator putin addressed his military and delivered his usual historical rhetoric, claiming that, in his view, the western regions of Ukraine would supposedly return to Poland, Romania, and Hungary.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian dictator vladimir putin is attempting not only to militarize russian society but also to shift responsibility for the war in Ukraine onto members of the russian State Duma and the country’s population.
