President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the resignation of Mykhailo Fedorov and spoke about the possibility of his return to office. The head of state did not give a direct answer to this question, but explained that during the war, the main thing for him is the effective work of the entire system, not individual officials.

Zelenskyy said this in an interview with Sky News.

The President emphasized that he respects both Mykhailo Fedorov and the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi. At the same time, according to him, the success of military operations depends on the coordinated work of all components of the security and defense sector, and not on one person.

Zelenskyy noted that strikes on military targets on russian territory were made possible thanks to the joint work of intelligence, special services, military units and the command.

Answering a journalist's question about Fedorov's possible reappointment, the President did not say either "yes" or "no". Instead, he made it clear that he did not want internal conflicts between different structures to influence military decision-making.

"I do not have time for conversations or negotiations. There is no time to listen to one side first and then the other, because the two sides are not ready to meet every day. And I do not need to find out who is right and who is wrong," Zelenskyy said.

According to the head of state, the country now needs new approaches to mobilization, closer interaction between the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense, as well as the development of missile defense systems.

The President also noted Fedorov's contribution to the development of unmanned technologies, but emphasized that drones alone are not capable of replacing the military on the front lines.

"If you don't have soldiers at the front, you will lose one territory, you will lose a village, and after the village you will lose a city," Zelenskyy stressed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Fedorov said the day before that he would not accept any other position except to head the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine again.

He rejected other offers from President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to Fedorov, his team headed the military department, already having a specific plan ready.

Earlier, Zelenskyy also offered Mykhailo Fedorov the position of Vice Prime Minister for Military Innovations.

According to the head of state, the new position should ensure coordination between the military leadership, the Ministry of Defense, and the sphere of defense technologies.
