Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha supported the appeal of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to russian dictator vladimir putin to stop the war. The minister wrote about this on the social network X.
"We appreciate President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's appeals to putin that it is time to stop the war. A realistic, timely and wise appeal," Sybiha noted.
He recalled that Ukraine proposed to stop the war along the current front line and move to diplomacy, but the Kremlin continues to reject this clear path to peace.
"Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov has already rejected the offer of the Kazakh President. The bottom line is this: Moscow needs to feel more pressure before it agrees to realistic peace proposals," the Ukrainian Foreign Minister noted.
What did Tokayev say?
On July 25, the Kazakh President, at a personal meeting with dictator vladimir putin, proposed stopping the war against Ukraine.
However, he also called Ukrainians and russians "fraternal peoples" and said that the current war "plays into the hands of the adversaries."
