During the week from July 20 to 26, russian troops used almost 1,700 drones, more than 1,630 guided bombs and 95 missiles of various types, more than half of which were ballistic, against Ukraine. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"We work with partners every day so that our soldiers have something to counter these strikes. We need to bring down russia's stake on ballistic terror. And that is why it is very important that anti-ballistic packages arrive on time. Every interceptor missile now literally helps save people's lives if it is here, in Ukrainian systems, and not in partners' warehouses," the head of state emphasized.
In particular, in the capital, destruction and fires occurred in the Desnianskyi, Solomianskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts. As a result of the attack, a warehouse facility, a truck, 10 cars burned down, and non-residential premises were damaged.
This shelling was the second ballistic attack on the capital region in recent days. The previous time, on Friday afternoon, the russians struck the territory of a private training ground with an arms exhibition. Then, as a result of the enemy attack, 10 people were killed, about a hundred more were injured, and more than 25 private homes and 44 cars were damaged.
